Type Locality and Naming

In the Udantau Mountains, Gissar Range. M.R. Jalilov, 1968 (190, p.42). Stratotype in the Gazdagan gorge, along the banks of the Muzrabat River. It is part of the Udantau horizon (56; 189; 383; 446; 452).

Synonym: Udan-Tau Fm; Udantau suite, Удантауская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Greenish-gray sandstones, siltstone (aleurolites) with clay interlayers. Thickness 65-165m.

Lower contact

It lies conformably on the Daralitau Fm

Upper contact

It is overlain conformably by the Kofrun-Cret Fm
